Applicants are invited for one position in the Department of Economics. The position is open for all ranks, especially for the well established senior scholars. Candidates should possess Ph.D. (or Ph.D. expected before hiring) in economics or related fields by October 2010, with demonstrated excellence in scholarship. Open to all fields in economics; however, priority will be given to the candidates who specialize in the following fields: macroeconomic theory and econometric theory. A good command of Mandarin is required. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to give a talk at the Department. Positions: Associate and Assistant Professors of Health Policy and Economics
Organization:
The
Qualifications
The
successful candidate(s) are expected to play a core role in advancing the
Centre’s research priorities in
health transitions, determinants of health, and health system research.
Academic ranks will be determined in accordance with the candidate's
qualifications and experience.
Candidates
must hold a doctoral degree in economics with an area of
specialization in one or more of the following: health economics, applied
microeconomics/econometrics, industrial organization, behavioral economics,
development economics or evaluation science. Prior research experience related
to health policy and health care systems in China and other low- or
middle-income countries is highly desirable. Excellent written and spoken
English skills are required.
Salary
For the Associate Professor level, payment
including basic salary and subsidies will be in the range of 200,000 - 300,000 RMB per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
Assistant Professors will be paid a fixed
package of 100,000-150,000 RMB annually.
